Breast Cancer Care WA
Breast Cancer Care WA (BCCWA) are a specialist nursing, counselling and financial support institution for women and men affected by breast cancer. Founded in 2000, the organisation has helped thousands of people overcome their cancer journey with great success. Which is exactly what a close a friend of the Rejuva Clinic needed, when she was diagnosed herself.
Simone Wilkins started and continues her journey with the support of the amazing team at Breast Cancer Care WA and in particular, her wonderful breast care nurse, Maria. The tremendous support along the way was not going to go unnoticed and meaning it was time to give back …
Boobs & Bubbles
In late 2020, the amazing news for Simone was received, she was all clear and cancer free. It was at this point the Rejuva team decided to both celebrate and promote the good news and team behind this extraordinary journey, and so, Boobs & Bubbles was born. Now an annual charity event, the Rejuva team first organised the fundraiser in 2020. Its purpose, to raise much needed funds, awareness and education about breast cancer in the local community.
The event was a tremendous success, with over 50 people joining the proceedings including Breast Cancer Council team member Amy Hawkes. During the day, a number of gifts were donated and auctioned with every dollar raised going directly to the organisation. The team at Rejuva matching every dollar raised, the final total was over $6’000. An immense effort from a community coming together to celebrate and educate.
Looking ahead
We are excited to begin planning the next Boobs & Bubbles event, scheduled to be held later in the year. With the hope of educating even more members of the community and smashing our previous donation record.
